From 350' to 500' From 6,000 Watts to 50,000 Watts!!

Tuesday, August 24, 2004 - Today, the crew was busy continuing the
work on the antenna, a large 12 bay directional antenna. Because it is a
directional antenna, and because we will be broadcasting at a powerful
50,000 watts, parasitics have to be added to the antenna to keep us from
overlapping other stations, particularly to the South. The tower lighting
system was completed. A storm chased the crew off the tower after
lunch, and again around 5:00 p.m. Finishing touches are being made as
seen in the photos below.
